    Ingredient Notes

To make this delicious mango chocolate smoothie you need

    • Mango: The mango adds natural sweetness and a tropical flavor. Make sure it's ripe for the best taste and texture. I am using fresh mangoes but frozen mangoes will be equally good.
    • Cocoa powder: This gives the smoothie a rich, chocolatey flavor without being overpowering. You can also use cacao powder for more nutrient rich addition.
    • Almond milk (or any non-dairy milk)
I mostly prefer Almond milk and Oat milk for my smoothies. Almond milk keeps the smoothie dairy-free and light, but you can use other non-dairy options like oat or coconut, soy or cashew milk for a creamier texture.
    • Maple syrup or agave (optional)
Add this only if your mango isn't sweet enough. If the mango is ripe, you can skip the sweetener.
    • Cashew butter: This will adds healthy fats and protein, making the smoothie more filling and giving it a creamy texture. Alternativly you can use peanut butter or almond butter.
    • Ice cubes (optional)
Ice helps thicken the smoothie and makes it extra refreshing, especially on a hot day. If you are using frozen mango for smoothie you can skip ice.
    • Dairy-free whipped cream (for topping)
A decadent finishing touch that adds extra creaminess and makes the smoothie feel like a treat.

How to Make Chocolate Mango Smoothie

    • Start by peeling and dicing your ripe mango. Make sure it's nice and ripe for maximum sweetness.
    • In a blender, combine the diced mango, cocoa powder, almond milk, cashew butter, and maple syrup (if you like it sweeter). For a frothier texture, throw in a few ice cubes. Blend everything together until it's smooth and creamy.

Tip: If you want a thicker, colder smoothie, add a couple more ice cubes and blend again.

    • Pour the smoothie into a glass. Top it with dairy-free whipped cream for extra indulgence. Sprinkle some cacao powder or chocolate chips on top, for that final touch of chocolatey goodness.
