Unfortunately, there is still a bit unclarity as they haven't provided enough information regarding their raw materials cruelty-free status. They refuse to share their complete animal testing policy as in their statement they mention that they do not test any of their final product on animals and none of their products are tested on animals by a third party.
Being said that they also do not confirm if any of their raw materials suppliers test on animals or not.
This could be the reason that PETA or Leaping Bunny do not acknowledge them as a cruelty-free brand. But still, they are taking major steps to ensure a cruelty-free production process for their products.

“We understand that animal testing is a key concern for a growing number of consumers and at Soap & Glory, we can confidently state that all of our formulations are safety and efficacy tested on people. Made for humans, so tested on humans obviously. We uphold very strict guidelines through our regularly audited manufacturing partners that uphold the ‘no animal testing’ policy. As well, we are fortunate that our biggest retail partner – Boots the Chemists – upholds the very same standards by funding through an organization called FRAME (the FUND for the REPLACEMENT of ANIMALS in MEDICAL EXPERIMENTS) in an effort to eliminate reliance in the industry on animal testing.
That said – and because we believe transparency is key – it’s important for you to know that no retailer or manufacturer can categorically state that ‘none’ of their raw materials or ingredients have, at some time in the past, been tested on animals. The majority of individual raw materials used in cosmetics today have been through some kind of animal testing process.

Soap and glory claim to be an environment-friendly brand by not testing their products on animals and took some major steps to reduce plastic waste. On their website, they state “In a pioneering step, in 2015, ahead of legislation, Soap & Glory removed all microbeads from our rinse-off products. From now on, we will use no plastic and no bio-based or biodegradable glitter in any of the new products that we develop (this includes any promotional and display materials)! This also extends to other materials that are coated with a plastic film”.
Answering another question regarding Soap and Glory states that “All factories used to make Soap & Glory products are known to us and carefully audited before being used for the first time against our global ethical trading standards (internationally recognized Labour conventions and environmental protection standards) – and thereafter audited every one to two years”.

We should keep raising our voices to make them use 100% cruelty-free raw materials too but we should also support those companies who have taken some major steps in the production of a cruelty-free product.
